Architecture: Honorable Mention 2025 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph is a self-portrait of the artist herself.
Front of the red wall marking the boundary between life and death,
I think of those I loved and relied on,
and quietly contemplate my own death, which will one day come to me.
Her gaze is directed beyond,
that is, to a quiet and unknown world beyond this world.
The umbrella symbolizes her being cared for and comforted.
In this quiet moment, life and death, solitude and warmth
coexist in a delicate balance.
AUTHOR
I'm a 68-year-old housewife.
I primarily photograph myself, exploring my inner self.
Through photography, I explore the inner reflections of my life, a life filled with sadness and hardship, my marital relationships, and the resilience of human nature.
I had one solo exhibition and one group exhibition.
