ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In this photograph, a glowing path cuts through deep shadow, guiding a small group of figures from the quiet vastness of nature toward the distant city. Light becomes a bridge — holding the space between two different worlds, neither one dominating the other.

Rooted in my Chinese heritage and shaped by life in the United Kingdom, I have learned to see not division, but resonance: a belonging that arises not from choosing one world over the other, but from standing at the threshold between them.

For me, this “between” is where home exists — a place formed not by origin, but by awareness. The image becomes a small act of reconciliation, a reminder that identity and belonging can be found within duality itself.
