ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This diptych is the first image of a body of work where I explored the profound connection between trees and the human body, revealing that separation is only an illusion. Through anthropomorphic interpretations, the works became an intimate study of belonging and the shared essence of nature and humanity. This particular image implies how trees are listening, that they are in tune to their environment, they absorb information and grow healthy or unhealthy just as we are affected by our healthy or unhealthy environments. Furthermore, the psychological process of anthropomorphism involves the tendency to attribute human characteristics to inanimate objects or nature, stemming from our desire to bridge loneliness or to gain control when making sense of the world around us.

AUTHOR
As a conceptual artist, she challenges familiar ways of seeing by exploring the hidden connections between the self, the world around us and the ideas that shape how we perceive it. Drawn to seemingly separate elements, she is guided by her imagination, curiosity and a playful spirit of exploration, allowing unexpected connections and possibilities to emerge through carefully considered concepts.
