“Fondamenta degli Incurabili” is inspired by Joseph Brodsky’s book of the same name and stems from a personal feeling of belonging and loss tied to Venice. The fondamenta becomes a metaphor for emotional memory - a solid foundation where fragments of poetry, love, and time are preserved. Suspended between sky and water, between reality and imagination, the work reflects the delicate balance of memory and emotion.
AUTHOR
Filippo Belletti is an Italian engineer and photographer, born in Modena in 1971. Fascinated by the descriptive photography of Gabriele Basilico and the formal rigor of the Emilian School, he turned his focus to architectural photography in 2010, attending Spazio Forma in Milan. In 2011, he began collaborating with professional studios and institutions, followed by his first personal projects in 2014. Conceptual photography lies at the heart of his work: he assembles and juxtaposes architectural elements and luminous objects to tell a story. “Photography is a way of telling stories without words, a tool to explore the world and our imagination.” (Paolo Ventura).
