ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Title: Cadomnia
Description:
Caught at the fragile edge of sleep, the body stirs as if pulled by an unseen force. Water ripples and swirls, hair streams like ink in motion, and light dances across the surface. Cadomnia evokes the vertiginous sensation of falling just as consciousness tugs you awake, the instant when dreams slip away and the boundary between sleep and wakefulness dissolves. The water embodies the fluid, shifting landscape of the unconscious, while the ink-like hair traces the fleeting path of thoughts and visions as they drift toward awareness.
AUTHOR
Nova Doria (Madrid, Spain) is a self-taught photographer and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the fluid boundaries between body, nature, and abstraction. Her creative process merges analog and digital photography, incorporating hand and digital drawings, layered transparencies, and textures that evoke transformation and memory.
Dreams play a central role in her imagery, the oneiric becomes tangible through artistic practice, turning inner visions into physical forms. Through this hybrid language, Doria investigates human deconstruction and the reconstruction of beauty beyond imposed canons. Her visual universe invites a dialogue between fragility and strength, dissolving form into emotion while reclaiming beauty as a universal and inclusive force.
