ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The otherworldly landscape of Lencois Maranhenses in Brazil. A vast area of fresh water lagoons and sand dunes and not much else. Not very Brazil like. In fact, being there felt like being on another planet, at least what my imagination told me being on another planet would be like. The dead tree in this lagoon made the image for me. Although it was raining when I took this it was also very hot, so standing in this lagoon up to my knees was a lovely cooling moment too.

I'm a keen amateur photographer with a passion for minimalist, abstract and otherworldly images. This kind of photography allows me to create and quite frankly escape a little bit from 'reality.' I live in rural North Wiltshire in the UK but through my job I have had the opportunity to travel far and wide. I particularly like seascapes but dabble in all kinds of landscape.
