ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The vast interior atrium of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Shanghai, China, seen from the ground floor. The Grand Hyatt occupies the top 36 floors of the 88 story Jin Mao Tower. One of the tallest skyscrapers erected in the Pudong area of Shanghai, its accomplishment is representative of the rapid urban development taking place all over China.

AUTHOR
Christopher Rubey is a photographer–photojournalist, cinematographer and editor.
Christopher, (also goes by Chris), was born in San Mateo, California, lived in San Francisco temporarily, and then moved to Danville, California. At the age of 17, he then began attendance at the University of Colorado at Boulder, pursuing a BA in Psychology. After a period of disillusionment and rediscovery, he transferred to the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and graduated with a First Class MA in English Literature. His academic history in literature, psychology, and philosophy helps inform his sense of narrative and theory. Chris aims to tell stories, either through dynamic still images as a freelance photographer, or through motion picture as a cinematographer and editor. Self-educated, enthusiastic, and determined, Chris has constantly developed his aesthetic and technical abilities at an exponential rate to suit his creative ambitions and the needs of his clients. He often practices creative and journalistic writing in his spare time and has been published in local newspapers and magazines for various articles, short stories, and poetry.
Christopher offers professional photography services for weddings, portraits, event reportage, as well as commercial and editorial work, locally and internationally.
