ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a very well know landmark near Christchurch New Zealand and is the New Brighton Pier. The pier is probably photographed hundreds of times everyday and is a location I often return to.....but I wanted to create something different. A very wet, grey and windy winters day gave me the opportunity to use the Lee Big Stopper to get a couple of 2.5 minute exposures from either side of the pier and then blend them to create this surreal view of this landmark. People either love or hate this image, and I think that this division is what makes a piece of art special.
AUTHOR
I've enjoyed photography most of my life but have really only taken the craft seriously in the last couple of years since joining the local photographic society. Photography for me is a chance to apply my view of the world to a moment in time and allow others to share in my vision.
