ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a close-up image of the huge concrete blocks (known as Dolos) that make up the sea defence wall at Torness Power Station in Scotland. Shot in long exposure to smooth out and whiten the sea, contrasting against the blacks of the angular blocks, almost makes it look as if the blocks are all tumbling into the sea. Shooting the image this way removed the sense of scale that a typical wide angle seascape shot of this scene would have, which I feel created something more abstract and unusual.
