ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image of the pier in Cayucos, California, originally built in 1872, was taken in 2013 just before they closed the pier to the public to begin restoration. I shot this just after sunset using long exposure and ND filters to smooth out the water. To enhance the interest in the image, I added a cloud to the original clear sky. Instead of the pier just reaching out into the ocean, it now appears to be reaching out to the cloud.
