ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In my personal opinion there is an affinity between architecture and poetry. I represented this minimalist church consisting in soft, curved lines in plenty of negative space. Its rhythmic and balanced structure corresponds in certain ways with those of sonnets, odes and epics. When standing in front of the image the viewer can sense her/himself in relation to the world in which it belongs. The balanced structure of the building/ composition of the image communicates with the viewer, thus relating to poetry. My intention is to convey a message of infinity, peacefulness and serenity. The single cloud shapes the space around the building and gives it a feeling of unusual power.
I chose to present this image as a fine art image and in b&w to emphasize the harmonious structure of the church and to fulfill my personal expression.
AUTHOR
For Kerstin the best way of expressing herself is photography.
One of Kerstin's specializations is Fine Art, Monochrome long Exposure in Architecture and “Architectural Street Photography”.
Photography enables her to express her own personal vision and to recreate the world in her images according to her imagination thus giving them a personal note. She avoids showing the viewer a simple game of patterns and lines, but tries to reach the soul of the structure. Meanwhile, in the innovative “Architectural Street photography” she combines two subjects of equal importance. The presence of people is intended to reveal the architectural object.
Her main aim is to create images that provoke emotion, stimulating the mind of the viewer and to convey her ideas and feelings of beauty which surround us everywhere.
Her photography work can be found on the most important photographic websites.
