Landscape: Honorable Mention 2014 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph represents the end of an era. Brocken down and beaten. Looking back at your life from where you are at today there have been great times and sad moments. The important thing is to be satisfied and have no regrets.
Location: Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia
AUTHOR
I started taking pictures as a hobby around 2005 with a point and shoot camera. After doing it for less than 1 year I realised that it doesn't broaden my photographic skills and passion. I quickly got myself the best gift I've ever rewarded myself with, a DSLR. My creative ability expanded and I am always intrigued to learn more. Shooting landscapes, wildlife and portraits are most appealing to me. I find the serenity in each capture which I don't get elsewhere. After seeing some early monochrome photography by experts, my interests soon grew towards Black and White long exposure photographs. To me, there's something about the minimalism and the effect a simple B&W gives. It carries an emotion... Here I am, always trying to tell a story.
