ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This picture I took of my friend Stephanie is also part of a body of work called "Estrangeiros" which focuses on immigrants from different nationalities living in the United Kingdom. I think she is beautiful and she looks great in the picture. I really like her pose and expression. She seems very relaxed. I like the surroundings as well, the stuff she had in her living room, the furniture, the books and even the table cloth. Also taken in medium format colour film and converted to black and white.

Manuel Gonçalves is a Brazilian photographer based in Liverpool, North West of England, where he lives since he moved from Brazil in 2004.

He has just finished studying BA (Hons)Photography at Blackpool and the Fylde College in Blackpool, Lancashire.

His interests in photography are portraiture, documentary, architecture, still life, night photography and street photography.
