Monica was born in Foggia, Italy in 1965 and from an early age showed interest and curiosity about the world of photography. In 1986 she started to work in a professional photographic laboratory and worked there for the following ten years. At the same time, she participated and won the first prize in an international photographic competition organized by the Region of Puglia, won again the following year and forerunner of numerous other awards. Since 1992, she is a member of FIAF. Since 1995, she works as professional photographer and has credit collaborations with local and national newspapers. She has many solo and group exhibitions both in the photograph and contemporary art. In 2005, she was conferred the AFI honor - Artist of the Italian Federation.
Her photography does not end on the beautiful facades of the buildings, but acrosses the walls of entire cities, the most unknown and invisible. Her photography does not end on the corners of the main roads, but goes through all showing them delicately. Does not end on the gaze of happyness and smiles, but reveales what's in the pockets of those who live at night. Darkness.
The photo does not end in her hands holding the camera, or in her eyes aimed over a window. Photography is inside of her, it came in posssession of her and never stopped...
