AUTHOR
My name is Caleb Stein. Live between London and New York with family in both cities. I'm an Art History major (with a focus on photo history) at Vassar college. I've been photographing for the past 4 and a half years and took analog and digital classes for three years of high school. I interned for architectural photographer based in NYC Todd Eberle for 2 months and camera obscura photographer based in Beijing Shi Guorui for 6 weeks. Last spring I took a six week photo critique class at SVA with Seth Greenwald and this past winter I took a workshop with Richard Rothman at ICP called B&W Printing II. This summer I will be interning in the photography department at Christie's Auction House and I'll be taking three classes at ICP (Regarding Intimacy and Light At Night: In And Around The City, and The Extended Portrait). Next year I will be taking Judy Linn's digital photography class at Vassar and field work with Mitch Epstein.
I became passionate about photography after seeing Ray Metzker and Eugene Smith photographs.
