ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Underwater photography is unlike any kind of photography I have ever done. The elements cannot be controlled. You never know what you will end up with but, the outcome is always surreal and beautiful.

AUTHOR
Ashley Luccitti is an internationally acclaimed and published photographer. She specializes in fashion and underwater fashion photography.

Ashley Luccitti was born in Phoenix Arizona in 1990. She then moved to Illinois, New York, Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas before returning to Arizona. She displayed an interest for the arts throughout her upbringing. From elementary school and throughout her art education she has had works on display in exhibitions for childrenʼs work. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from Arizona State University in the spring of 2013.

Shortly after beginning college she signed to the Leighton Agency INC. in Scottsdale Arizona. The majority of her fine art photographic work relates to her involvement in the modeling industry. It is based on the conflict and desire individuals come in contact with while trying to reach the unrealistic concept of “ideal beauty.” Her interest in beauty and fashion is continued though her underwater and fashion portfolio. To date she has been part of the the RAW Artists of Phoenix showcase and was a runner up in the RAW Artists of Phoenix showcases of 2012 for Photographer of the Year by popular vote. She has additionally been featured in numerous shows and published in international fashion magazines.

Ashley currently works in a digital medium. She has prior training in digital compositing, digital printing, black and white film, silver gelatin printing in wet labs, albumen process, cyanotype process, daguerreotype process, salt printing process, platinum/platinum printing process, gun bichromate process, calotype process, collodion process, wet place negatives/glass plate negatives and paper negatives.
