Wildlife: Honorable Mention 2014 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Once again, I find myself in one of the hides to photograph cranes in the Gallocanta lakes. They are eight in the morning of the third day and the thermometer reaches 13 degrees below zero. The heavy snowfall these days has made the cranes move to lower ground where they can feed. The mood is very low, took two days below zero gotten into the hideout, 12 hours a day and not a single crane showed up. The snow has come down a lot and I'm afraid that a year will leave me without the picture. All these thoughts are going through the mind of a photographer half frozen nature also has traveled a thousand miles to photograph the affairs of cranes. Finally, with the loss of all hope, a pair of beautiful and elegant cranes perch in front of my stash. The cold is gone, the thrill is home to the photographer while the cranes are delivered in a dance of love.
