From an early age, she understood the inner workings of the whole process. She began working on her father’s studio at age 18. After two decades submerged in and surrounded by photography, Camila swayed paths and became a businesswoman. The experience was unique. Nonetheless, most definitely, throughout this work her passion for art was proven. Determined to position herself permanently as a photographer, without fear of showing her knowledge and love for photography, she opted to capture images without cameras; instead, using a smartphone as a new means of expression: the Mobiography. Her first mobiographies were in 2011 in Chile at the Atacama Desert.
This new phase of photography, the era post-digital cameras, accomplished through mobile platforms, presents the unique possibility of capturing day-to-day scenery in rapid form and with ample freedom, presented by distinctive moments of light and shadow, all so quickly that can only be perpetuated with a mobile device in hands. Enter mobile photography devoted wholeheartedly to art.
In this period, marked by stillness and introspection, images which originated the journey without return and generated the Distortions | 2015 movement: Vanguard mobiographies, lightly abstract with insertions of reality, which allow for the identification of places, objects and scenes that feed the curiosity of those who see it.After that,in 2016, develops the Contemporary Architecture of Photography by tecnology, always with mobile tracking devices.
Now a student of the History of Art and Photography, and every other related subject, seeking new discoveries, Camila began attending expositions and to actively work on workshops, lectures and national and international contests.
