Entry description:
"Scanning… no lifeform detected."
I wondered what it would be like for extra-terrestrials visiting Earth for the first time. Would they recognize signs of intelligent life here?
About photographer:
I'm an emerging photographic artist who enjoys sharing the wonder and beauty of the natural world. I've been photographing since my teens but after a hiatus away from photography of about 20 years, I've recently resumed my craft with renewed vision and passion. And a real sense of purpose.
In the 20 years away from photography, I was a graphic designer and brand strategist where I developed a certain minimalist aesthetic as a way of conveying ideas efficiently. This has influenced my approach to photography now as well.
Now, as an artist, I feel my role is to arouse or awaken others to contemplate deeply about seemingly simple things because they could be life-changing. And conversely, to bring a restful state to the viewer's mind as they contemplate the beauty that surrounds us.
