ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The Ozeaneum is a museum of natural history with a focus on the sea. It is situated in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. Its biggest aquarium contains 2.6 Million liters. The museum is an open house that is "flooded" from all sides by daylight and visitors, akin to that of water swirling around stones on the seabed. Among other prizes it has been awarded as European Museum of the Year in 2010.
