Architecture: Honorable Mention 2015 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
On a trip around northern India, I visited Jantar Mantar in Jaipur and was fascinated by the huge 18th century geometric structures arrayed about the park for astronomical measurement. The overcast day cast a soft light across everything letting me shoot the angles and curves at midday without having to worry about harsh shadows. While most of my time there was spent trying to capture the enormity of some of the instruments, but I closed in on these stairs winding in and out of view for one of my favourite photographs of the whole trip.
