Conceptual: Honorable Mention 2015 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a shot I took this summer at the Brownstone Day mark which is located in Kingswear, Devon, England.
This strange monument was built in 1864, this hollow, octagonal tower is made of limestone and rises to 80ft (24m) high on tall arched legs. It was built as a guide to mariners to the position of the harbour entrance. It is visible for many miles out to sea.
The shot was taken directly into the evening sunset, which I have intentionally blown to create strong contrasts and silhouettes. The final result has something of a sic-fi feel to it due to the space ship architecture of the building.
