ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image is a study of the unusual rock formations found near the summit of Bidean nam Bean in the Glencoe area of Western Scotland. As part of a wider series of images representing the experience of walking in the mountains, this image focuses on the almost otherworldly or fantastical nature of the vistas. The photograph has been finished to accentuate the visual of the location as inspired by fantasy, in particular folklore and storytelling. In this instance inspiration has been taken from the look of a child's 3D pop up book and elements of this idea have inspired the post processing.
