Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2015 (amateur)
Veil of mist. by Frans van Hoogstraten (Netherlands)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a beautiful element of Huangshan Mountain. I took the photograph standing on the "Beginning to believe Peak" , when a fog came over the mountains and wrapped itself around this peak.
With my photography I try to provide places of rest, scenes of tranquility in this turbulent world. I just like to stop the time. Therefore touches of stillness and temporality frequently return in my images. Inspired by eastern mysticism, I like to capture contrasts, for example between short-term magical moments and solid natural sculptures. Balance, shape and composition are major components. And I love a bit off natural surrealism.
AUTHOR
Since some time landscape photography is my passion. Weather elements and beautiful light give a great thrill. The silent, pleasant moments facilitate meditation.
