ENTRY DESCRIPTION
With ominously dark clouds out to sea these storm waves were pounding the black pebble beach of Djupalonssandur. The white foam of these crashing waves was wonderfully lit by slithers of light streaming between the heavy clouds. Djupalonssandur on Snaefellsnes peninsula in Iceland is famous for the scattered debri of shipwrecks dashed on the black pebbled beach by such ferocious and powerful waves.
