ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I took this photograph while hiking in the Apostle Islands during the summer of 2015. The Apostle Islands are known for their beautiful horizons, scenic trails, and awe-inspiring bluffs. While being surrounded by the epic beauty of this National Park, I came upon two small ferns dancing in the wind. I felt as though I was an onlooker on a sacred ceremony, and if I listened closely I could hear them whispering to each other about the waltz, whose steps were a secret to all but them.

AUTHOR
I have always loved the idea of being able to freeze a moment in time by capturing it through a photograph. Since receiving my first point and shoot at the age of ten I have been addicted to the excitement of being able to save a snapshot of the past. I graduated from Watertown High school in the state of Wisconsin in 2015 with a transcript completely filled with photography classes. I am now currently a student at University Wisconsin Eau Claire with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Photography.
