ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In a project about accepting your body and sexuality, subjects were followed into their bathroom and asked to run through their daily bathroom routine. Wenyi, 23, holds her hair back while throwing up from a heavy night of drinking. Alcohol plays a huge role in the staying in/coming out process, suppressing feelings that one cannot accept because it stands against societal norms. In the search to be accepted, this is the result.

AUTHOR
A Rutgers University graduate, I obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in French Literature
and Digital Communications, Information, and Media. At my core, I have always been an
artist. Beginning with painting, I transitioned into photography about three and a half
years ago when my father introduced me to my first camera.
I fell in love with photographing the human body and proposed a photography project
dealing with sexuality to obtain a scholarship for my year abroad. After being granted that
scholarship, I have not stopped taking pictures of the naked body. Now a good amount of
my projects focus on the bare body.
My project titled, “Naked and Raw” which focuses on the acceptance of ones’ own body,
was exhibited in the summer of 2014 in Milan, and I have been expanding it ever since.
At 22 years old, I still have much to learn and see in the School of Life.
