ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This dam is on a river called Tukad Unda in Klungkung, Bali. I framed the photo to make the dam look like a natural waterfall. Locals regularly bathe and wash their clothes here. It's also a fun place for the children to play.

Since some time landscape photography is my passion. Weather elements and beautiful light give a great thrill. The silent, pleasant moments facilitate meditation. I prefer any form of contemplative photography. With my photography I try to provide places of rest, scenes of tranquility in this turbulent world. I just like to stop the time. Therefore touches of stillness and temporality frequently return in my images. Inspired by eastern mysticism, I like to capture contrasts, for example between short-term magical moments and solid natural sculptures. Balance, shape and composition are major components. And I love a bit off natural surrealism.
