Photomanipulation: Honorable Mention 2015 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
"Life Can Dance, 1936-2012" are extracts from the Series "kin", a project that I started in January of 2012 just after my mother passed away. While organizing her belongings, I found an envelop stuffed with twelve 4 x 5 black and white negatives from around 1954. I immediately took them out the envelop, in sort of a frenzy I began to scan them not knowing what I would do with them. These images were created impetuously and with the greatest sense of urgency to fill the enormous void I felt from the loss of my mother.
