AUTHOR
As a young student, Ottawa-based photographer Abigail Gossage took a darkroom course at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende. She was inspired for life. After a hiatus of some thirty years to raise a family, Gossage returned to photography and her inspiration. She is known today for her scenes of urban spaces and rural landscapes. In the city and the country, at home and abroad, Abigail Gossage continues to explore contemporary narratives through both medium-format film and digital media.
One of the founding members of Studio 255 and recently ALTERN STUDIO, Abigail Gossage shows her work both as a solo artist and as part of the studio group. Recent exhibitions have featured the cityscapes of Berlin, Paris, Moscow and Chicago and her hometown of Ottawa. Her photography has been exhibited in various Ottawa galleries and her work has been published in Canadian Camera, Photo Life, Photoshop, Black & White Magazine and, most recently, Lensworks Trilogies 2022.
Abigail Gossage’s photographs can be found in the Public Art division of the City of Ottawa and in private collections and boardrooms across the city.
