Born in Potsdam, Germany 1980 I knew I wanted to become a photographer at the age of . I studied photography in both the USA and Potsdam and gained further experience with several assignments in different countries, finally settling in Leipzig, Germany. I count myself fortunate enough that my work is my passion! My work is focused on portrait and people photography, as well as architecture. I love to capture special moments in people’s lives as much as to create beautiful portraits. The adverse is the silence when I enter a building or the fine lines of stairways or other hallways. I started on film in 1996 and moved to digital in 2004. I still love to be able to work with a medium format and develop my own film. To be able to still capture pictures on film in this digital world makes me feel independent and creative, even if this work is mostly not for a client.
