ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The contemporary ‘portrait', the photography epicenter, put in check the work of the photographer. We are in the limbo of the media interest. However, the subject depicted goes into mechanization and standardization process. The photographer comes into crossfire. Identity: preserve, create, search the infinite well of references? Or wait serenely your ostracism?
What is the future for a photographic work? Printed in a newspaper, hung on a wall or rewarded with half a dozen "likes" on facebook? Forgotten in a drawer digital among many gigabytes? The challenge of the contemporary photographer is to share its image amid a digital massacre of zillions of works. It is trying to somehow make their work remains exposed for some time. It is seeking partners who want to devote some time to process their souls with what your eyes capture.
"I ask myself, to no purpose, what is likely to happen to him? Can he possibly die? Anything that dies has had some kind of aim in life, some kind of activity, which has worn out; but that does not apply to Odradek. Am I to suppose, then, that he will always be rolling down the stairs, with ends of thread trailing after him, right before the feet of my children, and my children's children? He does no harm to anyone that one can see; but the idea that he is likely to survive me I find almost painful."
Franz Kafka
AUTHOR
My photography does not align with the immediacy of classic photography, but with time for reflection and involvement. A shot without interaction with the scene, is a song without soul to me. It is necessary a bit of intimacy, even if it's something quick and simple, but done with some dignity. My photographic arrangements are made by walking, stories, sounds and cultures that were presented to me.
When I reveal a new image, I request please to this world so full. That the image be silent, if speaks, which might be softly in the mind of the observer.
