Portrait: Honorable Mention 2015 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
While travelling as a photographer through the country of Myanmar, I met this old woman full of life and energy. She was the wife of a fisherman and made a living by selling the fish her husband brought early in the morning. On the other hand she worked making cigarettes and cigars rolled from natural leaves and quite strong but despite of it they are quite well known throughout the country. On her head she wears a scarf, that she will use to protect herself from the sun and also to carry things wrapping them as if it were a small backpack. She lived close to a place full of rebels which clashed with the government forces and she was able to recall all the hardships she went throughout her life.
