ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image is a darkroom photographic exposure created by the utilization of a recovered, weathered polaroid photograph. In concept, this image highlights the life cycle a photograph undergoes. The original subject of the photograph was too deteriorated to recognize, symbolizing the clouding of memory after a long period of time is sustained. After the individuals who have a personal attachment to the subject of an image are no more, the image no longer is significant on a personal level and instead must purely exist as an aesthetic element. This image serves to show the greater implications of what photography can encompass and what significance an image has after personal connections to the subject are deteriorated.
