AUTHOR
I am passionate about photography, videography, technology and aviation. I deeply enjoy working with people, animals and objects to capture that “elusive, just right image”, which makes people pause for a moment of enjoyment.
My family and I are Texas natives who now live in Colorado. In 1986, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University. Also, I have enjoyed being a commercial pilot and a former flight instructor. In Nashville, Tennessee, I worked for a premier commercial real estate developer. During my corporate career, I traveled the United States and much of the world. This breadth of life experience uniquely enables me to see the world in a very special way. My love of photography started at a very early age with a Brownie camera. Photography helped pay for my college. While at Texas Tech, I worked for a camera store which allowed me to gain experience with many different cameras, lenses, and film formats. Today, I use Adobe Photoshop CC, LightRoom CC, and Final Cut Pro for post processing. I am always amazed at what these tools can do when compared to the darkroom equipment I used in the bygone.
Today, capturing interesting moments in digital media is a wonderful blend of art and technology. These moments take on different meanings of value. Perhaps, value is found in a portfolio of images that enable you to better communicate the value of a property or product that you are selling. Can a value be placed on a photo or video that captures the priceless moment of a life event? How much gratification is gained from looking at a professionally composed image of a beautiful place on earth? We are so influenced by our vision.
