Architecture: Honorable Mention 2016 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The 'Maastoren' is the tallest building in Rotterdam.
After a cold morning shooting for a project I walked away and saw the soft clouds behind the tower and the great light on it.
I quickly changed lenses and composed the shot. Normally I would take a long exposure but the way it looked right at this moment was something I really liked. The tones, the light.
At first I had edited as a pure black and white picture, but adding a hint of blue gave it much more depth and showed even more tonality.
