Architecture: Honorable Mention 2016 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Asturias in Northwest Spain. Designed by the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. I tried to give expression to the idea of Oscar Niemeyer, of being attracted to free-flowing, sensual curves. To the curves that he found in the mountains of his country, in the sinuousness of its rivers and on the body of a beloved woman.
AUTHOR
Since some time landscape photography is my passion. Weather elements and beautiful light give a great thrill. The silent, pleasant moments facilitate meditation. I prefer any form of contemplative photography. With my photography I try to provide places of rest, scenes of tranquility in this turbulent world. I just like to stop the time. Therefore touches of stillness and temporality frequently return in my images. Inspired by eastern mysticism, I like to capture contrasts, for example between short-term magical moments and solid natural sculptures. Balance, shape and composition are major components. And I love a bit off natural surrealism.
