Waterfront Sonata - Insight Into Dockland by Oscar Lopez (Germany)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Dockland Building. Hamburg, Germany
A lonely character passing by, giving an insight into what happens inside of him: A character full of life in the inside but lonely in the outside. Too bighead.
AUTHOR
I have found photography as a mean of expression not so long ago.
It was 3 years ago when I decided to study photography in a more profound way, technically but also aesthetically. And it was through this study that I discovered artists like Kenna, Gospodarou, Tjintjelaar, and Bruce Percy, whose works triggered me to discover fine art photography and made me want to try it. Try it, because I felt I had something to show: Stories of what I see; stories I made in my mind of whatever situation and interpret them into a single image.
What I mean by stories, is the interrelation and interaction there can be between the elements of a scene. It can be something graphical and abstract: A set of patterns that follow a specific movement or line that allow the viewer to enter in the frame and get lost in it;. Or it can be something more tangible, like a cityscape or a street scene where the buildings on it interrelate and interact with each other in such a way that one can use to tell an unseen story with the naked eye. These stories I want to capture for my self, but also to transport them to a public to tell them this story.
And when the viewer understand my story, then it is the most fabulous feeling for the culmination of it.
