ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Part of a series “Just pain” which explores the emotional expressions of human suffering and the darkness that all of us experience at some stage in our lives. The goal is to portrait the beauty in the darkness and to evoke an emotional response and curiosity with a common yet uncomfortable experience. These images are conceptual self-portraits in natural settings motivated by a personal journey through pain and trauma.

AUTHOR
I am a German born emerging photographer studying at the Photography Studies College in Melbourne, Australia. I have been fascinated by photography since my teenage years, but from 2012 started engaging with it on a more methodological and sincere level discovering the artistic expression though photography. I am interested in the human condition, the common but hidden emotions and complex concepts of the human being.
