ENTRY DESCRIPTION
From the series Anonymity
2016 is a time of turmoil and uncertainty. It is a fraught and fragile time. It is no longer safe. People want to see but are wary of being seen. They want to look out, but do not want to reveal their naked self.
My images are of those that are looking but cannot be seen - humorous and playful, yet spooky, surreal, disturbing and, perhaps, mythological.
This reflects my own existence, my own terms of engagement with this world.
but the scariest mask of all
she whispered
is the one that goes unnoticed
until it is finally taken

AUTHOR
I am an art photographer based in Wellington, New Zealand. Through my work I seek to create tension and an opportunity for the viewer to reconcile elements that don't naturally fit together. My pictures provide much space for imagination and interpretation. I want to engage the viewer and create images that ask questions.
