Eve: Ascension is part of a series re-imagining the creation story of Eden with a focus on Eve in a more contemporary context in a effort to understand the source of divisions between gender and the environment. Shot in 35mm Ilford HP5 Plus

AUTHOR
Stephen was born in Kingston Ontario in 1970 and graduated from York University (BFA 1993). He currently works as an international television director and together with his wife Susanne operates Stevenson Farms; a historical country inn and Spa. Stephen has been pursuing his hobby and passion of working with B&W film and prints since his teens. He is drawn to the beauty and mystery of the natural world and our connectivity to the environment. Myths, symbols and spirituality are explored through the juxtaposition or entwining of human and natural forms often using a blend of prints and paints.
