Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2016 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Sometimes the most beautiful sights are right in front of us, and all we need to do is change our perspective to be able to capture the true beauty of the moment.
This shot was taken while I was walking with a couple of my family members on a trail in Colorado. They had no idea I shot this photo and later when I was showing them my shots of the day they questioned where I grabbed this shot from. They never saw this angle of the clouds even though they were walking the same path that I was. The only thing I did differently was take a moment to look up...
AUTHOR
It all started back in 2003, when my mom handed me her camera and said, “Lets go outside for a little”. Starting from the basics of photography and then advancing to truly being able to capture a beautiful photo while only taking one shot. Working with a Manual 35mm Canon allowed me to grasp not only the basics but also instilled in me the appreciation for digital cameras, and the uniqueness of film cameras. Advancing from there and teaching myself everything I could about photography, I have been able to incorporate all of the techniques I learned with the 35mm, and also add a lot of my own personal techniques using digital. It has been and will forever be a wonderful journey and I am constantly thanking G-d for the talent that he has given me.
