ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The Timfi lake is the largest and most known alpine lake in Greece. It is located under the Ploskos peak (Ploskos peak is 2.377m high) at 2.050m. The perimeter of the lake is at about 350m and extends up to an area of 8.000 square meters. The lake is the habitat of an amphibious species called Tritons, which are a protected species under national laws.
