ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I think Waterlilies are the most beautiful of flowers, they can be large, vibrant and even exotic looking yet can be found in a regular murky pond, as is this, close to where I live in Dorset, UK. I shot this wonderful lily with my Canon 6D, it was a 'summers' afternoon, it had rained earlier and I was crouched down, leaning precariously over a pond in a park. Luckily I didn't fall in (this time). I think it works wonderfully in monochrome as the striking contrast pops just as well without the colour of the flower and partnering plants.
