ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Heroic or stupid? I'm still not sure which of these attributes enabled me to get this shot, taken during the Winter storms in Bispham, Lancashire, UK.
As I wanted to isolate the power and details of the waves, I took the shot at night using a speedlight. and because of this, I had no choice but to get up close and personal - 17mm, 5 metres away personal.
This meant navigating the steps carved in the steep rockface down approx 60m from the roadside, then along a narrow path at sea level, approx 100m from the only way out. A handful of shots and a few drenching scares later, common sense prevailed.
It could of easily of all ended in tears, but, looking at the shot, I'm glad I did it. Just don't ask me to do it again!
