ENTRY DESCRIPTION
It was 2015 when I traveled to the border of Inner Mongolia and Hebei Province in China. The weather was very unforgiving at a freezing temperature of minus 20 and lower, with a constant breeze of snow from all directions, it was pretty hard to convince myself to get out of the car and take photos. Not until I saw horsemen showing off their skills and commanding the steed from a distance. I quickly grabbed my telephoto lens and captured the moment when one of the horsemen charged out from the morning mist.
AUTHOR
My interest in photography was sparked off by my brother, when he taught me how to use his film camera. But I really have no idea how passionate I am until my first son was born and now I am crazy enough to ride an eight-hours horse trip at remote mountain trail in Northern Xinjiang to capture its stunning landscape. My effort really paid off in 2016 - being won the Grand Award of 2016 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year!
