ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo is one of a series I did in 2015.
These were shot in an very poor and small village in Guinea-Bissau.
As photographer and an humanitarian volunteer, I tried to capture the immense number of feelings that were happening at the moment not only by the children but also by us, portuguese volunteers during our visit to deliver books and school supplies.
because they want to learn, some of these children have to walk more than 30Km each day to go to school...
AUTHOR
Photographer, father, and tireless traveller, Luis Miguel Silva was born in Agueda (Portugal) in 1978. Since then, resides in the small village of Paus in Albergaria-a-Velha.
Assumed an amateur photographer at age 18 when he acquires his first reflex and started to pay special attention to night shots, events and landscape. Nevertheless, worked for some national magazines as a freelancer.
Today, works in several areas of photography and, after almost 23 years as a photographer, still has the same passion as ever, continuing to pursue new worlds and new realities.
