AUTHOR
As my father was addicted to photography I was surrounded by photos, cameras and other photographic devices from the first day of my life on.
My first scrawls and drawings as a child I made on remainders of Ilford photographic paper my father kept at home, wondering how fast its colour changed once taken out of the package.
Despite all of this I never took any pictures of my own, seemingly because there was no chance competing with my father.
Hence, I bought my first camera only a few years ago at the age of 31, a few weeks before the death of my father and, maybe as every enthusiastic parent, just before the birth of my first daughter.
However, after taking over my father's estate, I started to develop my own interest in photography, mostly influenced by photographers as for example Capa, Moriyama, Burri and Eggleston.
Though this might be what most of the pictures I take could be described as, I do not like the term street photography, because I just don't see any sense in taking pictures somewhere else than out on the streets.
To be honest, there is no concept behind my work. I just spend time out on the streets whenever possible, with my mate ingmar or alone, and take pictures depending on my mood, sometimes spontanously, sometimes finding a composition and waiting for something to happen.
And as everything in life - sometimes I return miserable, and sometimes when things seem to flow and everything comes in line I return perfectly happy.
