Rugged mountains and beautiful, but harsh landscapes are shaping the environment for the people living on the periphery of the state.
Balancing between traditional livelihood and modern structures, this mainly resource-poor and low-income region provides a homeland for these groups, dwelling here since centuries.

Sascha Richter, born 1987 in Berlin, Germany.
I graduated from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2015, where I studied Southeast Asia studies and Philosophy.
Since 2015 I am focussing solely on photography.
Currently I am working on a long term project about the highland region in Southeast Asia.
