ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Bangkok is one of the most developed city in south east Asia but still number of poor is high. A couple of years ago, two abandoned aircrafts were left by a cash-strapped investor to rot in east of Bangkok. Since then a couple of poor families started living and selling junk for life. There are currently no plan to move it to the other place.
AUTHOR
Takashi Nakagawa, born in 1981, is an award winning photographer, traveler, and visual storyteller based in Japan. He has been traveling around the world and shooting stories of people, culture, and society. Currently he has been focusing on taking photos of Asia. His works have been published through various international media such as National Geographic. Winner of 2016 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year (Cities Category).
